Rally held calling for arrest and investigation of Lee Jong-won

Director Choi Young-min mentioned that Rep. Jung Cheong-rae received over 50% of the votes only in Daegu, and that results were produced where he surpassed candidate Kim Min-seok.

He raised suspicions of public opinion poll distortion, stating that such results would have been impossible without certain manipulative interference.

Currently, a complaint from the Democratic Party and a complaint from 2,500 party members are being investigated by the Public Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Metropolitan Investigation Division.

Director Choi Young-min stated, "Naturally, it is the principle to arrest and investigate those who commit such heinous crimes, so they should be immediately arrested and these investigations should proceed."

Sisa Tapa's Lee Jong-won himself stated on air, "Supreme Council member Lee Sung-yoon cannot place first in normal public opinion. Absolutely not. He couldn't have placed first without us."

It was argued that these remarks were tantamount to Lee Jong-won admitting to manipulating public opinion polls.

At the rally site, a video of the incident was shown to highlight its seriousness and raise public awareness.

This past record, coupled with the current public opinion poll allegations, exacerbates the controversy over Lee Jong-won's qualifications.

Questions were raised about the whereabouts of the remaining funds after the past Cho Kuk protection rallies. Participants in the rally pointed out that the use of precious donations made by citizens in the cold winter was not transparently disclosed.

Sim Geok-jeong asked Lee Jong-won for a public answer, stating, "Where did the remaining funds from the Cho Kuk rally go in that cold winter? Mr. Lee Jong-won, please answer."

It was argued that the transparency of fund flows should be secured by disclosing accounting details such as income, expenditure, and balance of rally donations.

It was emphasized that strict punishment for the Democratic Party's national convention public opinion poll allegations should be carried out through thorough verification of the police investigation process and securing objective evidence.

He revealed that he was one of the very few who knew about this content.

Director Choi announced that if the opportunity arose in the future, he would disclose specific data to support the related content.

Lee Jong-won's direct mention of '200 text messages' on his own broadcast and his remarks inducing 16,000 votes to go to candidates Jung Cheong-rae, Lee Sung-yoon, and Han Min-soo were pointed out as problems. Director Choi Young-min disclosed a specific video example where Lee Jong-won disguised his voice to induce false responses in a public opinion poll.

It was criticized that despite this being a clear crime, Lee Jong-won boasted about it live on air.

Considering the seriousness of cyberbullying, arguments were made for strengthening penalties for perpetrators and establishing practical measures to protect victims.

He added that he felt a "creepy" sensation because Lee Jong-won's personal information, such as his past and education, was not transparently disclosed.

Director Choi Young-min recounted that Lee Jong-won perceived the rally as 'his personal rally' and understood others as 'piggybacking' on it.

This was criticized as an instance where symbols of solidarity were excluded, and a personal domain was emphasized.

Director Choi Young-min said, "Those who came up on stage, the people setting up there, right? As some of you may have seen, many people are involved in setting up that stage. But he gets up there, takes the microphone, and curses fiercely at those people. 'Hey, I told you to do it like this, you son of a b****.' He curses them in that manner."

Such language and behavior were criticized as being inconsistent with the values pursued by the pro-democracy camp.

The host stated, "If I say my region is Busan when it's Jeju Island. If I'm 60 and I press 20, that's 100% illegal."

Expectations were expressed that the newly appointed Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner, Ko Beom-seok, would have a more capable and strong will to investigate.
