Yong Hye-in's Resignation Controversy, A Political Frame

This is because if Rep. Yong Hye-in resigns, the next in line for succession is Go Jae-soon, a proportional representative candidate from the Democratic Party. There is a structural limitation where if Rep. Yong Hye-in resigns from her proportional representation position, the Basic Income Party loses the seat it gained as part of the Progressive Alliance, and that seat transfers to the Democratic Party.
