This education reportedly involved male and female children together, taking turns drawing penises and vulvas.

The parent stated that due to this education, the child "is experiencing pain and anxiety, such as saying they don't want to go to daycare."

Representative Kim Yun-ah testified that after the sex education, the child showed psychological problems, such as avoiding favorite coloring activities and refusing to go to daycare. This child also seemed to be self-conscious after showering and is currently undergoing psychological counseling.

Regarding this situation, the parent reported the education to the police, considering it emotional and sexual child abuse. Representative Kim added that there were numerous other reports from parents who experienced similar education.

Representative Kim Yun-ah stated that the research institute refused individual requests for intervention from parents and demanded communication only through the daycare center. Kim pointed out that teachers and directors of daycare centers or schools could also become victims in this process.

However, the daycare center's action of stopping the education after the problem was recognized was positively evaluated, emphasizing the responsible role of educational institutions.

Representative Kim Yun-ah urged education authorities to establish institutional mechanisms for all external sex education programs. She asserted that transparency must be ensured by allowing parents to confirm lecture plans and key educational content before education.

She also demanded a system to objectively verify whether the educational content is appropriate for the child's developmental stage. She emphasized that education conducted without parental input, as is currently the case, must be stopped immediately.

Baek Go-hoon, a parent representative, criticized the sex education conducted in kindergartens and public education as being so radical that it makes parents "grab their necks." He claimed that children are being exposed to radical sex education without their parents' awareness.

In particular, he expressed concern that comprehensive sex education conflicts with family values and can cause emotional confusion in children and repercussions in human relationships.

Representative Baek Go-hoon pointed out the current reality where sex education is treated lightly, stating that this is due to a lack of deep discussion about its weight and responsibility.

He raised the problem of scientific knowledge and social concepts being indistinctly differentiated and conflated in the definition of sex education.

Baek emphasized that the starting point of sex education should be based on respect for life and a sense of responsibility, not merely sexual rights. This implies that education considering children's developmental stages and emotional growth should be provided.

Therefore, sex education should move in a direction that emphasizes life and dignity, and education that instills correct values in children is necessary, he added.
